How to find us?

We are located at the Lugano East Campus (Block D) of the University, on Via Santa 1, in 6962 Lugano Viganello. See the How to reach the Informatics Faculty for general directions.

By Car

Use the embedded map above for directions. Note that the University offers underground parking that is open to the public. However, spaces are limited. Contact us if you are planning to come by car so we can arrange a reserved parking spot for you.

By Train and Bus

From the Lugano train station, take Bus No. 6 in the direction of Università / Cornaredo, which will take you directly to the university (technically, there’s only one direction anyway, as the train station is the end of the line for Bus 6). Get off at the stop “Campus Universitario”.

Alternatively, you can walk to the stop “Genzana” (in front of “Bar Genzana” near the north end of the station) and take Bus No. 5 in the direction of Viganello, which also stops at “Campus Universitario” but will first pass through the center of town.

Tickets must be bought at the ticket machine before boarding the bus (CHF 2.30 for a single journey ticket, or CHF 2.00 if you have the Swiss Rail Card “Halbtax”). Attention: ticket machines may not give change, and not all accept cards (none of them accepts bills)! Alternatively, you can acquire a ticket electronically using the Arcobaleno app (available for iOS and Android).
